Job Title: Housekeeper
Property Type: 60-Room Outdoor-Corridor Motel

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Motel Manager

Job Summary
The Motel Housekeeper maintains the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall visual appeal of our 60-room outdoor-corridor property. Because our rooms open directly to the outdoors, this role requires diligent attention to detail to manage outdoor elements like dust, debris, and varying weather conditions. The ideal candidate is efficient, physically stamina-driven, and dedicated to providing a welcoming, spotless environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Room Cleaning: Clean and sanitize guest rooms upon check-out and provide daily stay-over service. This includes making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning windows.
• Bathroom Sanitation: Thoroughly clean and disinfect toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and mirrors. Replenish amenities such as towels, soap, and shampoo.
• Outdoor Property Maintenance: Sweep and clear walkways, balconies, and thresholds directly outside guest rooms to remove cobwebs, dust, leaves, and debris. Empty exterior trash receptacles.
• Inventory & Cart Management: Stock and maintain the housekeeping cart daily with necessary cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities. Report any supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Maintenance Reporting: Inspect rooms for maintenance issues, such as burnt-out lightbulbs, leaking faucets, broken locks, or HVAC issues, and report them immediately to management.
• Lost & Found: Secure and document any items left behind by guests according to motel policy.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Previous experience in hotel/motel housekeeping or professional cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods. Must be comfortable working in an outdoor-corridor environment with exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
• Attention to Detail: High standards of cleanliness and the ability to spot tasks that need extra attention.
• Time Management: Ability to clean rooms thoroughly within established timeframes (typically 25–30 minutes per room) to ensure readiness for check-in.
• Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and capable of working independently or as part of a small team.

Work Environment
This position operates in a 60-room motel with outdoor walkways. Employees will frequently move between indoor guest rooms and outdoor environments throughout their shift.
